Sponsors — getting started
How do I find a club to sponsor?
From the home page, you can filter active campaigns by sport, region, or cause. Every club is verified before its campaign is published.
Do I need an account to sponsor?
No. You can sponsor as a guest — fill in the required details in the form and pay by card. Optionally, at the end you can create an account (with the password you choose) to track your sponsorships and contracts afterwards.
Is there a minimum amount?
Yes — each country deployment has a minimum amount for free-amount sponsorships (UK: £5). For fixed packages with benefits, the minimum is the price advertised by the club for each package.
What's the difference between "free amount" and "package with benefits"?
- Free amount — you contribute any amount (above the minimum) with no formal benefits in return. The contract confirms the financial sponsorship.
- Package with benefits — you pick one of the packages published by the club, with clear benefits (logo on kit, presence at events, etc.). The contract includes the list of benefits.
Sponsors — payment & contract
How is the payment processed?
Payment is by card, via Stripe Checkout. Card data is processed exclusively by Stripe — SanoSport does not see or store any card information. After payment confirmation, the money goes directly to the club's Stripe Connect account, without passing through SanoSport.
When do I receive the contract?
For fixed packages with benefits, the contract is generated before payment and sent by email after confirmation. For free-amount sponsorships, the contract is generated automatically after Stripe confirms the payment and arrives in your inbox within minutes.
How is the contract signed?
SanoSport handles the two-party signing flow automatically: the contract is digitally signed by both the sponsor and the club, directly on the platform. No need to print, sign on paper, and send back.
Can I cancel a sponsorship?
After payment confirmation, the sponsorship cannot be cancelled automatically — the money has already been transferred to the club. In case of an issue (duplicate payment, technical error), write to [email protected].
Sponsors — tax treatment
Can I claim a tax benefit?
If you are a UK company subject to Corporation Tax, sports sponsorship is an allowable business expense for Corporation Tax purposes when it genuinely promotes the business — see the tax framework page for the full details.
And as an individual?
Individuals who do not run a business cannot deduct sponsorship as a business expense. Gift Aid is a separate scheme that applies to donations to UK charities and CASCs (Community Amateur Sports Clubs) — speak to your accountant to see which clubs qualify. The sponsorship remains valuable to the club regardless.
Clubs — registration & Stripe
What is "Stripe onboarding"?
To receive sponsorships directly into your bank account, your club needs a Stripe Connect Express account. Stripe verifies the identity of the authorised person, the club's details as a legal entity, and the bank account (sort code + account number), then activates payouts.
How long does Stripe verification take?
Verification is usually near-instant, but Stripe may request additional documents. The account status updates automatically in the club dashboard. Until activation, you cannot publish a campaign.
What documents does Stripe require?
Typically: a copy of the authorised person's ID (chair/secretary), club legal-entity details (company number or charity number, address, constitution), bank account details. Stripe may ask for additional documents depending on risk.
Clubs — campaigns
How do I create a campaign?
After Stripe is activated, the "Create campaign" option appears in your club dashboard. Add a title, description, image, and (optionally) sponsorship packages with benefits. Save as a draft until you're ready.
How many campaigns can I run at once?
There's no hard limit, but we recommend running at most 1-2 active campaigns at once, so your message to sponsors stays focused.
How much does it cost to publish a campaign?
You pay a one-off listing fee per campaign at publication. See Pricing for the exact amount. There is no monthly subscription and no commission on sponsorships received.
Clubs — payouts
When does the money arrive in the bank account?
Sponsorships received reach the club's bank account according to the Stripe payout schedule — usually within 2-7 working days of payment confirmation.
Is there a SanoSport commission on sponsorships?
No. SanoSport takes no percentage from sponsorships received. The only cost for the club is the one-off listing fee, paid once at publication.
And the Stripe fees?
Stripe charges its own card-processing fees (see Stripe's pricing), deducted automatically from the amount transferred to the club. SanoSport does not interfere with these fees.
Account & personal data
I've forgotten my password — how do I reset it?

How do I delete my account?
Send a request to [email protected] and we'll delete your account within 30 days. Certain data associated with already-generated sponsorship contracts may be retained to comply with legal accounting-archive obligations (see our privacy policy).
How do I exercise my UK GDPR rights?
